I was very nervous before I made the speech, because I was the second one to go, and I felt like I was not prepared to make the speech. I understand that everyone has a strength and weakness in one's speech, and for sure I have some, too. I know that I am a person with a strong, loud voice that can easily grab everyone's attention. I think I used that strength well to get everyone attention even from the first sentence. Yet, this loud voice can also be an issue because I don't think I was able to use various tones to change my voice volumes, and tones while I was presenting, so that it could add more feelings during the speech. When I am talking in front of the audience, I tend to move around a lot, especially when I am nervous. This can be a strength, because moving a lot means that the speaker is confident, and that usually gives relief to the audience. But during the speech, I noticed that if I move around too much, it would rather distract the audience from concentrating, and next time as a speaker I would be careful on that.
This speech was a great experience, and I really learned a lot through the writing and the presenting process. I was able to understand the issues around the school that other notices that I didn't, and it was good to hear what others had to say about certain factors. Overall, this was a great project, and I hope we do something like this again :)
